Steps for patch:
- Install Remus following the instruction on its website (http://nss.cs.ubc.ca/remus/).
- Apply xen-tools.patch in the tar ball to xen-unstable directory.
- Apply python-tools.patch in the tar ball to Remus's tools directory.
Compilation steps:
- Recompile and install tools (make tools; make install-tools) in xen-unstable directory.
- Compile and install Remus tools.
Test steps:
- Install kernel module (in backup-kernel directory of python-tools.patch) on the backup machine.
- Run "protect -i interval -n netbuf_interval vm1 backup_ip_address" to protect the virtual machine.
